Von Locarno bis nach Gordola und von dort ins Valle Verzasca abbiegen. Der Strasse bis Lavertezzo folgen und kurz nach dem Ort auf dem kostenpflichtigen Parkplatz auf der linken Seite parken. (Die anderen Parkplätz direkt an der Brücke haben nur eine max. Dauer von 3 h!).

From Locarno to Gordola and from there turn off into Valle Verzasca. Follow the road to Lavertezzo and park shortly after the village in the paid parking lot on the left-hand side. (The other parking lots directly at the bridge only have a maximum duration of 3 hours!)

Vom Parkplatz zurück nach Lavertezzo und die Verzasca über die berühmte Steinbrücke überqueren. Direkt nach der Brücke rechts abbiegen und dem Weg entlang des Flusses folgen. Nach etwa 5 Minuten tritt man wieder in den Wald. Nach einer kleinen Lichtung tritt man wieder in den Wald ein und biegt links ab. Rechts unten ist auf einem Felsen das gelbe Wanderwegzeichen (gelbe Raure), links ein blauer Punkt. Auf sehr schwachen Wegspuren und den blauen Punkten folgend gewinnt man schnell Höhe und steuert auf den Bach zu (Swissmaps auf dem Handy ist hier sehr hilfreich, auch für den weiteren Verlauf). Nachdem man den Bachüberquert hat, bleibt man für kurze Zeit auf dem Weg und biegt an der ersten Möglichkeit links ab. Die ersten Meter sind steil, aber erkennbar. Danach sucht man Wegspuren (hier ist man teilweise weit weg von Swissmaps). Abgeschnittene Bäum und Äste weisen den Weg. (Man hat das Gefühl, man bewegt sich weit weg vom Canyon). Auf der Karte ist das Haus Mött Coa, 985 m, angegeben. Hinter dem Häuschen sucht man eine Wasserleitung, die erst steil nach oben führt, hier findet man wieder bessere Wegspuren. Der Leitung folgt man bis zum Bach. Auf Wikiloc gibt es einen Trail, man findet diesen unter Links.

From the parking lot, return to Lavertezzo and cross the Verzasca over the famous stone bridge. Turn right immediately after the bridge and follow the path along the river. After about 5 minutes you enter the forest again. After a small clearing, re-enter the forest and turn left. There is a yellow hiking trail sign on a rock on the right and a blue dot on the left. On very faint tracks and following the blue dots, you quickly gain height and head towards the stream (Swissmaps on your cell phone is very helpful here, also for the further course). After crossing the stream, stay on the path for a short time and turn left at the first opportunity. The first few meters are steep, but recognizable. After that, look for tracks (here you are sometimes far away from Swissmaps). Cut trees and branches point the way. (You get the feeling that you are moving far away from the canyon). On the map, the house Mött Coa, 985 m, is indicated. Behind the little house, look for a water pipe that first leads steeply upwards, where you will find better tracks again. Follow the pipeline to the stream. There is a trail on Wikiloc, you can find it under Links.

Der erste Abseiler erfolgt über einen Baum oder man umläuft orografisch rechts die erste Stufe über einen kleinen Weg. Die Abseiler erfolgen in offenem Ambiente und sind mehrheitlich Rampen, erst im unteren Teil nach dem Weg wird es steiler. Der Canyon eignet sich im Frühjahr, wenn noch einigermassen Wasser im Canyon ist.

The first rappel is over a tree or you can orographically go around the first step on the right via a small path. The rappels take place in an open environment and are mostly ramps, only in the lower part after the path does it get steeper. The canyon is suitable in spring when there is still some water in the canyon.

Mit dem letzten Abseiler folgt man rechts über den Weg zur Brücke zurück (und springt noch von derselben) oder schwimmt (bei Niedrigwasser!!!) zur anderen Seite und ist flugs wieder am Parkplatz, der rechter Hand liegt.

With the last rappel, follow the path on the right back to the bridge (and jump from it) or swim (at low water!!!) to the other side and you are quickly back at the parking lot, which is on the right.
